My class is doing poetry writing and i am doing the senses poem but i don't get what it is i need an example?
Your thoughts on poetry writing? what do you think about it? what makes some of it dark?
i'm a poetry writer and i believe it comes from lots of emotions i write a lot of dark things that comes from depression even though i've written a few love poems for someone who is not with me anymore but there's something about it that makes me have rage and anger inside where i want to scream. i write a lot on things about hell is poetry a gift or something?
Is there a specific name for my kind of poetry writing?? (perhaps just crapp poetry, ha). but please help?
Ok well I write what some people say is peotry but then some say " no its not poetry its prose" But then some will say no its niether...Is there a name for someone who just " writes in verse" some lines might rhyme some won't..some might have metre and rythem and some won't etc etc...Do u think the chances are I'm just writing crappy poems..haha

How do I get my poetry writing back?
When I was a kid I used to write poetry about love and romance. I was pretty good. I wrote my poetry in pieces of paper, sometimes in big leaves when I'm outside but I never keep them. I throw them afterwards or burn them. My poems were a secret. Strangely, my writing stopped when I fell in love. No relationship between me and the girl arose but after that I just couldn't write anymore. Whenever I feel like writing, all I do is stare at the blank piece of paper. I think I lost my talent in writing. Can I get it back?

My teacher told me about a poetry writing workshop and open mic reading at a caf somewhere today. What is a poetry writing workshop?

poet or is it innate talent which cannot be learned , either you have way with words or you don't have it .of course any one can write poems, but I am talking about writing good , insightful poems.

A good poetry writing website?
OK basically, I've started writing a bit of poetry and I would like to find a good website where I can upload my poems and get peoples opinions on them. Can anybody recommend any? The more popular the better.

I LOVE writing poetry stories, and my poems are mostly about my personal feelings experiences and would like to share them. They are mostly about how I'm bullied at school and how everybody is always teasing me, so what should i do? I can't find any good ones online. I would most appreciate cash prizes lol but anything is fine really, so, please help?
Lost my poetry-writing touch.. :(?
I am 25 yrs old. When I was 19, I had developed a hobby of writing poems. Slowly, I had become very good at it and by 22 I had written about 70 poems of which around 45 50 were decent poems. But then I lost the touch...I mean in next 3 4 years I haven't been able to write more than 2 3 poems. In fact now I cant write even a line.... become too critical of myself. I think that I have used these words in previous poems. I feel that everything I write is cliched. I feel that now I am forcing rhymes and I evaluate myself so stringently that I cant write Is this a writer's block or something else? How can I regain my art of writing poems??
